I rewired the output on my fathers old turntable so now both channels work (not just the right one like it had been). Currently I'm listening to side 2 of Houses of the Holy It is a pressing my dad bought back in college to replace an old copy. He never opened. I just opened it and no static + no scratches = beautiful.

There's just nothing quite like the sound of vinyl.

Great collection! So tempted to re-acquire a nice turntable/cart combo and re-build a vinyl library.

I have a massive collection that I am ever so slowly cataloging.

Thanks, Led Zeppelin I is missing though... my dad has somewhere around 400 33 rpm records. I am the only one in the house who listens to them since he owns all the good albums on CD too.

Yeah, my dad has somewhere around 400 33 rpm records. I am the only one in the house who listens to them since he owns all the good albums on CD too. I have to alphabetize the collection about once every 5 years. We have several boxes of 72s from the WWI era but my turn table only plays 33s and 45s.

Vinyl will always sound better than CD. It's just hard to play a record in your car. Which is not to say it hasn't been tried.
